This resulted in PAI learning only oriented to the cognitive aspect, while the affective and psychomotor aspects experienced various problems including, decreased interest in learning, honesty, responsibility, learning motivation, discipline. Therefore, things that can make PAI learning effective online are with parental involvement. This study aims to describe and analyze PAI learning in the distance learning period, the form of parental involvement in PAI learning assistance and the impact of parental involvement in PAI learning assistance at SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen 1 Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative field research using a phenomenological approach. Data collection is done by using interview, observation and documentation methods. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model analysis, namely data reduction, data display and verification. As for the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed: First, PAI learning in class IV SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen 1 Yogyakarta during the Covid 19 pandemic was carried out online through the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. Planning by preparing learning resources, methods and online-based learning media. Implementation of learning using Youtube, Zoom, and WhatsApp. Evaluation of learning with application-based. Second, The form of parental involvement in PAI learning assistance is parenting education, online communication between parents and teachers, class associations for parents of students, and the role of parents in online learning at home. Third, the positive impact of parental involvement in PAI learning assistance is an increase in parents' cognitive, parents' understanding of children's learning progress, and the closeness of parents and children.
