Prisoners' rights are stated in Article 14 of Law Number 12 of 1995 concerning Corrections. The rights of child prisoners are also stated in Article 85 paragraph (2) of Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, this proves that education for child prisoners or correctional students is an important matter. The implementation of the fulfillment of the right to education for correctional students at the Kutoarjo Class I Child Prison is carried out nonformally in collaboration with Tunas Mekar PKBM which is under the auspices of the Education and Culture Office of Purworejo Regency. This research is a type of field research, which is carried out by examining data directly in the field to obtain primary data. This research is also descriptive analytic, which describes the research results obtained from field research, namely the results of interviews (interviews) and the data that the authors get. The primary material of this study is the result of direct interviews with the compilers of Correctional Students and Employees of the Class I Child Prison, Kutoarjo, Central Java. The authors will discuss how the practice of fulfilling the right to education for correctional students, especially in the Class I Child Prison, Kutoarjo, Central Java, and whether the implementation of the fulfillment of the right to education has been effective or not. The results obtained in this study, that the practice of fulfilling the right to education for Correctional Students at the Kutoarjo Class I Child Prison there are three forms, namely: a. Study Group Education Package A, Package B, and Package C, b. Skills and expertise education, c. Religious education. Although the fulfillment of the right to education for correctional students has been carried out properly, there are still several obstacles that make teaching and learning activities less effective, including the short implementation time, lack of motivation of correctional students in attending lessons, and the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support learning and teaching activities.
