The aim of this research is; (1) To describe the book waqf movement as an innovative and philanthropic service at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Library, (2) To determine the impact of the book waqf movement as an innovative and philanthropic service at the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY) Library. This research includes field research using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews with 15 informants, and documentation. The results show that first, the implementation of book waqf is a form of library service innovation as in the theory of public service innovation by Halversen, in Needs led innovation and efficiency-led innovation, explaining that book waqf is a product resulting from the innovation process currently implemented by the University Library. Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) effectively increases reading interest and library development at Muhammadiyah Charity Business. The second impact of book waqf at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) library through the communication theory approach to da'wah in Bambang S Maarif shows that the book waqf movement at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) library has had a positive impact, namely being able to maintain the tradition of sharing with others as well as the implementation of services. KH has exemplified the innovative and philanthropic model. Ahmad Dahlan developed culturally within the Muhammadiyah organization.} }
