This culture cannot be separated from society, especially rural communities. This study aims to examine the ideological formations and conflicts that occur in the novel al-Ugniyah al-Dāiriyyah by Nawal El-Saadawi that occur in the main characters, Hamida and Hamido. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data source is obtained from the novel al-Ugniyah al-Dāiriyyah by Nawal El-Saadawi. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing and taking notes with literature studies. This study uses Gramsci's theory of hegemony and social conflict theory formulated by Ralf Dahrendorf with a sociological approach. The results of this study indicate that the ideology that was spread to the Egyptian people represented by Hamida and Hamido was a patriarchal ideology with the help of intellectuals namely religion, schools and politics (police). In addition, the prevailing culture in Egypt is still embraced by the family so that Hamida and Hamido are hegemonized and follow the patriarchal ideology. The existence of a patriarchal system that applies in Egypt makes Hamida experience several conflicts with other figuresThe conflict was caused by the power and authority of the more powerful people, namely the shop keeper, the ―government‖ police and the employer. Likewise, Hamido experienced several conflicts with government. As a result of the positions of power and authority possessed by these figures, amīdah experienced sexual violence. Meanwhile, amīd also experienced conflicts in the form of violence and insults. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. Nurain, M.Ag.
