In Yogyakarta, the highest prevalence of cancer is breast cancer that experienced most by women based on data from Yogyakarta Health Minister. Cancer treatment has an impact on patients both physically and mentally. However, survival rate for breast cancer is high if it can be deteceted in early stage, one way is by BSE technique. Various coping techniques are adapted by breast cancer patients to overcomerhe negative effects caused after diagnosis. Surrender to God is a coping style that can be adapted by individuals diagnosed with a deadly disease such as breast cancer to cope with their illness. This study explores an overview of surrender by three women survivors of breast cancer in Yogyakarta. The research used qualitative phenomenological approach as method. The reserach found that surrender was not a passive act waiting God to solve all the problem but an active verb where breast cancer survivors tried their best in treatment then leave the result in God?s Hand} }
