"Labeling, which has been attached to the people with disabilities, has made this\r\ncommunity considered as a second class society who always get discrimination of\r\ntheir rights. The emergence of disability movement is an effort to answer one of\r\nthese challenges, the equal rights of people with disabilities which have been\r\nneglected. \r\nThis is a qualitative descriptive field research. The method used in this research is\r\na case study that focuses on two disability movement with the different\r\nbackgrounds, namely GERKATIN as an organization under the auspices of the\r\ngovernment and SIGAB as an independent or non-governmental organization.\r\nThe theory used in this research is the theory of new social movements. This\r\nresearch wants to see how these two movements are viewed from the perspective\r\nof new social movements and their mainstreaming issues of people with\r\ndisabilities. \r\nThe results of this research are firstly, these two organizations or movement are\r\ncategorized as New Social Movements because from an ideological perspective,\r\nthese two movements both focus on the identity of the disability, trying to\r\nreconstruct the disability paradigm that has developed in the society to create\r\nequality, there is not a normal-abnormal classification. Both are also trying to\r\nmake it happen through the issue of accessibility. Then from the aspect of actors\r\nor participants, those who are members of these two movements have various\r\ndifferent backgrounds.
