"Based on the previous literature, there already plenty of academic studies that\r\ndiscussed about the psychological well-being of students who memorize the AlQuran,\r\nbut unfortunately\r\nthere\r\nis no\r\nresearch\r\nthat specifically\r\nexplains\r\npersonality,\r\n\r\nperceptions,\r\nemotions,\r\nand\r\nbehavior.\r\nThe\r\nexistence\r\nof\r\nlife\r\nproblems\r\nexperienced\r\nby\r\n\r\nstudents\r\n\r\nwho memorize the Al-Quran and other factors makes it necessary to\r\ndiscuss further the personality, perceptions, emotions and behaviors experienced by\r\nstudents who memorize the Al-Quran. \r\nThis research is qualitative research with a phenomenology approach. The primary\r\ndata in this study came from 12 respondents consisting of 6 male students and 6\r\nfemale students. Data collection methods used in this study include in-depth\r\ninterviews, informal conversations, documentation, and observation. This research\r\nwas conducted at the Andalusia Islamic Boarding School Banjarnegara. The\r\nanalysis technique in this study uses phenomenology analysis. \r\nThe results showed that eleven of the twelve participants who were students who\r\nmemorized the Al-Quran were included in the category of unhealthy personalities.\r\nthose happen because there are still basic needs that have been fully unsatisfied. In\r\nthe perception section, students define memorizing the Al-Quran as an activity of\r\nmemorizing, reading, remembering, learning the meaning of the verses of the AlQuran\r\nand\r\npracticing\r\nit,\r\nas\r\nwell\r\nas\r\nkeeping\r\nthe\r\nverses\r\nof\r\nthe\r\nAl-Quran\r\nin\r\norder\r\nto\r\n\r\nget\r\nthe\r\nright\r\ninstructions\r\nand\r\nget\r\nsyafaat\r\nat\r\nthe\r\nend\r\nof\r\nthe\r\nday.\r\nThe\r\nnext\r\nperception\r\n\r\nis\r\nthat\r\nthere\r\nare\r\ntwo\r\ndifferent\r\nopinions,\r\nthose\r\nare;\r\nmemorizing\r\nthe\r\nAl-Quran\r\nas\r\nan\r\n\r\nobligation\r\nand\r\nmemorizing\r\nthe\r\nAl-Quran\r\nas\r\nan\r\noption.\r\nStudent\r\nalso\r\nargues\r\nthat\r\nthe\r\n\r\nAl-Quran\r\nmust\r\nbe\r\npracticed\r\nin\r\neveryday\r\nlife.\r\n\r\nIn the emotion section, some of the\r\nemotions felt by students include; (1) feeling sad, angry, and offended by friends,\r\n(2) feeling sad and angry because of family problems, (3) feeling happy because of\r\nthe achievement of grades and Al-Quran memorization, (4) feeling sad and anxious\r\nabout obligations that are not fulfilled, (5) boredom with activities at the Boarding\r\nSchool. The behaviors shown by student in expressing their emotions include: (1)\r\nskipping boarding activities (2) venting anger when angry (3) lying to others to\r\nsolve problems (4) Running away or leaving from boarding school without\r\npermission (5) carrying prohibited goods (6) keep quiet and calming self down\r\nwhen angry (7) tell the closest people to relieve anger."^^ .
