description: Career planning skills are important for students so that they get directed early on about what preparation is needed in choosing the next education or working and living independently in the community, it is done to prevent the occurrence of regret in the form of moral and material losses. One of the efforts to prevent this is to have good self awareness, self awareness is the ability to understand the interests, talents and motivations of yourself, so as to help students in improving their desired career planning skills. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of self awareness with the career planning skills of class XII students at Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Pati. The approach used is quantitative method by spreading scale, interviews, and documentations. The subject of this study was a student of class XII Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Pati as many as 95 people.  The result of a pearson product moment test shows a value of p = 0.035 (p<0.05). This shows that there is a relationship of self awareness on the career planning capabilities of Students of Class XII Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Pati. Both variables have a positive relationship, meaning that the higher self awareness, the higher the student's career planning ability.
