        abstract = {One of the functions of money in the economy is used as a medium of exchange for transaction activities. The phenomenon that occurs on the island of Madura, the use of currency does not function properly as a means of payment, especially coins. This study examines the factors that influence people not to use coins on the island of Madura. This research approach uses a quantitative approach. The sample used in this study amounted to 100 respondents who live on the island of Madura using random sampling method. Based on the test results of Linear Regression analysis using SPSS version 26. The results show that there is a significant effect of public perception and efficiency on the use of coins on the island of Madura. There is a positive response to the use of money with the ease (efficiency) that has been felt by the community, which allows users to save time, costs and energy for remaining payments in transactions}
