description: The tourism sector is one of the strategic sectors that support national development. The development of tourism also encourages and accelerates economic growth. Tourism activities create demand, both consumption and investment which in turn will give rise to the production of goods and services. This study examines the influence of the tourism sector on economic growth in Indonesia in 2015-2019. This research approach uses a quantitative approach. The data used is panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia. Based on the results of testing the model specifications, it is found that the best model used is REM (Random Effect Model). The results showed that the investment variables and the number of businesses had a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the variable number of tourists and the average length of stay have no effect on economic growth in Indonesia.
