description: This study aims to analyze the literacy activities that exist in the novel Tanah Surga Merah. This type of research is included in the library research study sourced from the novel Tanah Surga Merah. Data collection method used in this study is to use library research by reading as a whole and then recording sentences containing literacy activities in the novel Tanah Surga Merah. Data analysis technique used in this study is to use text content analysis. The results obtained from this study are the implementation of literacy activities carried out by the figures in the form of (1) retelling books and reading (2) lending private collection books (3) reasoning and critical thinking (4) writing (5) drama shows (6) communicates by teaching. Suggestions from researchers themselves are controlling themselves from feeling lazy and quickly satisfied and training themselves to remain critical and develop their ability to improve quality of life.
