South Korea packs their culture through Hallyu (Korean wave) including the culture of masculinity which is illustrated by the appearance of K-Pop boyband groups, BTS one of them. In contrast to masculine stereotypes in Indonesia, BTS masculinity is synonymous with gentle, beautiful, and dandy, because basically Korean masculinity is influenced by Japanese masculinity: Bishounen, America: Metrosexual, and Confucianism: Soenbi. The popularity of BTS in Indonesia proves that Korean culture of masculinity is able to be accepted, and slowly influences masculinity stereotypes in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the perception of ARMY Jogja on BTS masculinity using an analysis of cultural factors that influence perceptions by Deddy Mulyana and Jalaluddin Rakhmat. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach conducted by in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that BTSs are perceived as fulfilling the values of global masculinity, especially the nature of hardworking, and courage. Even so, there is also a feminine side that is accepted as an enhancer of the attractiveness of masculinity.
