description: The government is making efforts maximize salt production for the community. However with the increasing population, the need for salt consumption is increasing while domestic salt production is limited. Therefore the government carries out import of salt from other countries. In this study aims to analyze the effects of US dollar exchange rate, inflation, foreign exchange reserves, and gross domestic product of salt imports in Indonesia from 2006Q1 to 2017Q4. The dependent variable used in this study is import of salt from International Trade Center (ITC) from 2006Q1 to 2017Q4. The independent variables used in this study are the US dollar exchange rate, inflation, foreign exchange reserves and gross domestic product obtained from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and Bank Indonesia in the period 2006Q1 to 2017Q4. This study uses time series data with an Error Correction Model (ECM) approach estimated by the Eviews program.  The results of this study indicate that in the short term the independent variable that has a significant influence is only the foreign exchange reserve variable. While in the long runthe variables that have a significant influence on the dependent are inflation and foreign exchange reserves
