One of them is the ease of the internet to access various types of sites found on smartphones. The existence of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media makes the writer interested in doing research on every post that is done by @pendakicantik account. The author is interested in doing this research because of the current climbing trend, especially climbing by a woman. This study aims to determine how much influence the Instagram @pendakicantik account has on the interest in climbing mountains in women. The theory used in this research is the theory of Media Richness Theory. The method used in this research is an explanatory quantitative survey method. The sample collection technique uses simple random sampling method. Data collection used was by distributing questionnaires online, to 100 female respondents following the Instagram account @pendakicantik. Based on the results of the data obtained in this study, the results show that there is a large influence of Instagram account posts (X) on the interest in climbing mountains (Y) of 43.3%.
