"This research is related to the competency of school principals and\r\nteaching staff and education staff. Most of the principals have not yet carried\r\nout their duties in accordance with the competencies required by the\r\nprincipal. Whereas on the other hand, teaching staff and education staff in\r\ncarrying out their duties still depend on the pattern of planning, organizing,\r\nleadership, and supervision of the school principal. This makes an educator\r\nand educational staff have not been able to provide an assessment of him\r\nbased on his abilities.\r\nThis study aims to determine the effect of principals' managerial\r\ncompetence and supervision of principals on self-supervision teacherin MI\r\nMa'arif Sambego. This research uses a quantitative approach whose data is\r\ntaken from the field (field research). Data collected through questionnaires,\r\ninterviews and documentation. The population used in this study were all\r\nteachers in MI Ma'arif Sambego Sleman Yogyakarta, amounting to 25\r\npeople.\r\nThe results of this study indicate that (1) the Principal has good\r\nmanagerial competence and is able to plan, organize, and provide guidance\r\nto the teaching staff and education staff. The headmaster has given good\r\nsupport to the teacher especially to be able to improve the quality of self and\r\nthe quality of the learning process. So that every teacher has the ability and\r\ndesire to improve the quality of self and quality in the learning process so\r\nthat the vision and mission of an institution can be achieved. (2) Principal's\r\nmanagerial competence influences self-supervision teacherin MI Ma'arif\r\nSambego Sleman Yogyakarta. This is based on the results of research that\r\nshows the value of t arithmetic of 0.012 or less than 0.05.
