One of them is the Temu Panggih ritual, a traditional Javanese wedding procession that is full of symbolic meanings and ancestral messages. However, along the way, this ritual is degraded, especially in the plot which is no longer complete like in the past. This article discusses the cultural commodification of this procession due to market demand, especially among young people in Pacitan Regency, East Java. They want this procession to continue but with a short flow without heeding the proper order and rules. This phenomenon occurs apart from the role of the Wedding Organizers who prioritize profit, there is also the role of the media. According to Adorno, three indicators of commodification, manipulative, inauthentic and standardized appear in the Temu Panggih procession today. This finding is based on interviews with 4 resource persons, each representing a Wedding Organizer, a Jemuk Consumer Consumer and a cultural observer in Pacitan Regency.} }
