This research is a comparative study, in which this study uses two different types of research samples, namely Islamic banks and conventional banks. Sampling in this study used a random sampling technique. The primary data in this study were obtained from the distribution of questionnaires and interviews. This study used 70 processed questionnaires. The analytical tool used in this study is the IBM SPSS version 21. The results show that the compensation variable has a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of bank employees. The work environment variable has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of bank employees. The variable of corporate culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of bank employees. The research shows that in terms of compensation, work environment, and corporate culture, bank employees are more satisfied with working in conventional banks than in Islamic banks.
