The zoo is one of them. Gembira Loka Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java Province, which is located on Jalan Kebun Raya, Rejowinangun, Kotagede, Yogyakarta City. Gembira Loka Zoo is experiencing a crisis in the number of visitors, which has fallen drastically in 2020. For this reason, a communication strategy is needed to restore Gembira Loka's condition. Researchers conducted this study with the aim of knowing the public relations communication strategy carried out by Gembira Loka Zoo Public Relations in restoring zoo tourism during the post-Covid-19 recovery period. Using qualitative research methods used to analyze case studies, data were obtained through interviews with Gembira Loka Zoo's Public Relations, observation, and documentation. Gembira Loka Zoo's public relations officer developed a strategy by creating work programs carried out on social media, namely #DolanNyaman, #JendalaGLZoo, Zoopeda, Zoolahraga, and several quizzes.
