The teacher's role as a facilitator and motivator is expected to be a milestone in developing the potential of students, especially those related to gross motor skills, namely how the teacher's role can introduce and train movements that involve the child's large muscle abilities. The method used in this research is qualitative. The research instruments used were observation, interviews, documentation, data analysis, and checking validity. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Researchers found two important things in this study: first, teacher optimization in developing gross motor skills for class A students at Hang Tuah Kindergarten 16 Tegal City in general has been running optimally, because from certain aspects of children's gross motor development, the teacher has done well, this is very influential in the physical motor development of grade A children in Hang Tuah 16 Kindergarten, Tegal City.
