The spread of CoronaVirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) in many countries around the world has forced people to take a break for a while in world interest competition, including education that forces the online learning process. Online learning using technology that is carried out suddenly often makes teachers and students feel shocked and unprepared, especially the parents who must be ready to accompany their children for studying at home. There are many various challenges experienced by educational institutions, so the aspect of children?s cognitive development is hampered. Cognitive development is the children's ability to think more deeply and solve their own problems. This is the background for the researcher to examine The Optimization of Online Learning in Developing Cognitive Ability of Early Children. This research uses a descriptive qualitative. The data sources of this research were obtained from the headmaster, class teacher, and curriculum section of TK Muslimat NU 001 Ponorogo. The data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses interactive model analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusions using Nvivo. The validity test of the data uses a triangulation, including source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study show that: First, the technical implementation of online learning and online learning media is carried out based on the Circular Letter of the Minister of Education No. 4 of 2020 and the Guide to Assistance in Learning From Home (PPBDR). besides that, it also refers to Permendikbud 137 and 146, namely the Child Development Achievement Level Standard (STPPA). Second, the advantages of the online learning process are the active participation of parents and the delivery of assignments is made more flexible and makes more use of objects around the house. Meanwhile, the shortcomings of online learning are starting from signal problems, less supportive cellphones, plus the busyness of parents who find it difficult to adjust to online learning time. Third, The implementation of online learning in improving the cognitive abilities of early childhood in TK Muslimat NU 001 Ponorogo, is carried out by identifying the cognitive development of children and the factors that influence their development. Then in the implementation of online learning, make learning preparations in the form of RPP, PPBDR and media that will be used carefully, carry out online learning with interesting activities through zoom and home visits, and evaluate learning activities that have been carried out and measure children's development based on their learning outcomes and reports from parent.} }
