This community is synonymous with life in the jungle as a place of life and also as a means of their belief to obtain protection. This life is a legacy of the predecessors and contains elements of myth that have meaning for the community. As the times progressed, SAD began to leave the forest and convert to Islam. When there is a shift in belief, it becomes a very important factor in changing their lives, including in their socio-religious behavior. This study aims to understand the socio-religious changes of SAD after the entry of Islam from 1999-2019. The formulation of the problem that will be answered in this study is what form of change in the socio-religious behavior of SAD in 1999-2019? and why there is a change in religious behavior?. This study applies historical research methods, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The data collection techniques used were through interviews and library data. Interview method through informants determined by purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that from 1999 to 2019 the majority of SAD converted to Islam and there was a change in the socio-religious behavior of the community in terms of worship, clothing, education, and traditions. These behavioral changes are reflected in their daily lives, although there are still a small number of people who still maintain their ancestral culture. Changes in socio-religious behavior were caused by education, recitation, congregational remembrance, and commemoration of Islamic holidays that were carried out in the SAD community.
