The increasing workload during the covid-19 pandemic and the length of the work period are factors that can play a role in the level of job satisfaction of honorary teachers. This study aims to determine the extent to which the relationship between workload and job satisfaction is moderated by years of service for honorary teachers. The subjects of this study were 206 Madrasah Aliyah teachers who worked in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative method with a sampling technique that is simple random sampling. Research data collection was carried out using a job satisfaction scale and a workload scale. Data analysis in this study used a moderation regression analysis technique with the absolute difference value test method and sub-group analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a negative relationship between workload and job satisfaction moderated by years of service for honorary teachers with a significance level of absolute difference of 0.000 (p<0.05). As for the group with less than 5 years of service and the group with more than 5 years of service, each of them strengthens the negative relationship between workload and job satisfaction.
