The meaning of work is how a person's way of defining and interpreting their work. This study aims to provide information and an overview of the perspectives or experiences of research informants regarding the meaning of ambulance driver work at hospitals, and institutions in Yogyakarta during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study involved informants who work as ambulance drivers. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a phenomenological approach. Collecting data from this study uses interview and observation techniques, as well as documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this study are: 1) social and humanitarian values and spirit make informants continue to provide services during the pandemic, 2) work portions are ready to receive calls for 24 hours without seeing compensation 3) The ambulance driver profession is a call to life and is still carried out in the COVID-19 pandemic on that basis.
