%X Socio-emotional development at the age of 5-6 years is the best period for  the child to learn to develop socialization abilities and express emotions positively.  Through the learning of dance art that directly uses the human body as its medium,  the use of motion in dance is a form of reflection and physical expression that can  be expressed by children, which has meaning and beauty. The purpose of the study  was to produce the development of the Zapin Creation Dance "Cognate Sebalai" to  improve the social emotional behavior of early childhood (Ages 5-6 Years).  The research method uses the type of research and development (Research  & Development) model sugiyono, by teaching the Pre-Experimental Designs  method (one group pretest posttest design) with two types of data, namely  quantitative and qualitative data. The population is class B students (Aged 5-6  years) at TK Negeri Pembina 2 Pangkalpinang. A sample of 18 children taken by  Systematic Sampling. Data collection tools using interviews, observations and  questionnaires, processed using the Paired Sample T Test.  The results of the product feasibility assessment, overall getting an average  score of 3.9 entered the criteria very well, so it can be concluded that this  development media is very good and worthy of being used as an early childhood  learning media. The results of the effectiveness of the use of development media to  improve children's social emotional behavior, namely: with the average score of  children during pretest of 36.81 and the posttest value of 48.93 having a difference  between the two average values of 12.12, which means that there is an increase  from the average value of children after using development products. Based on the  results of the Paired Sample T Test test, it shows a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000  which means it is smaller than 0.05 so that it can be concluded that the development  medium of the Zapin Creation Dance "Serumpun Sebalai" is effective for  improving the social emotional behavior of early childhood (aged 5-6 years).
