abstract: People enjoy spending more time with friends in cafes than reading, this shows the low interest in reading in Indonesia and the low quality of human resources in Indonesia. In increasing interest in reading, there are external factors, one of which is the surrounding environment or an adequate environment, which in this study is a reading corner as an effort to increase interest in reading. This research is about the effect of the reading corner of the Blanco Coffee And Books Yogyakarta cafe on the reading interest of cafe visitors. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of reading corner at Blanco Coffee And Books Yogyakarta cafe on visitors' reading interest and how strong is the relationship between reading corner variable and reading interest variable. This research is an inferential research type with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were visitors to the Blanco Coffee And Books Yogyakarta cafe and the object of this research was the reading corner of the Blanco Coffee And Books Yogyakarta cafe. The population in this study were cafe visitors. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with the number of respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula, namely 96 respondents. Data collection methods used are questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation. Measurement of data using a Likert scale with four answer choices and positive and negative statements. Analysis of the data used is simple linear regression test and correlation test. The results of this study are that there is a positive influence from the reading corner of the Blanco Coffee And Books Yogyakarta cafe on visitors' reading interest in other words Ha is accepted and the strength of the relationship between the variable reading corner of the Blanco Coffee And Books Yogyakarta cafe and the variable of visitors' reading interest is sufficient or moderate
