The pandemic is the cause of the implementation of education experiencing obstacles in carrying out face-to-face learning and making campuses issue online lecture policies. This policy has an impact on extra-campus organizations that experience various differences in their organizational communication processes. This study examines the communication pattern of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) coordinator of the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) commissariat during the COVID-19 pandemic and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses qualitative research with data collection using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that: 1) the communication pattern of the HMI organization is in accordance with the hierarchical structure of HMI's leadership and power structure listed in the HMI constitution. Although in the constitution there are no diagrams that explain organizational communication patterns, based on research results show that HMI communication patterns are using a chain model. 2) message content based on the communication function within the UII Islamic Student Association organization during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the information function, regulatory function, persuasion function and integration function. 3) the supporting factors in the communication pattern of the UII Korkom HMI during the covid-19 pandemic include HMI still being able to run the organization even during the covid-19 pandemic; there are commissariat cadres and administrators of the UII Korkom who are still in Yogyakarta during the pandemic; face-to-face communication (offline). The inhibiting factor is the ineffectiveness of online communication within the Yogyakarta branch of HMI.} }
