%X This study aims to determine library automation management at IKIP PGRI Wates  Kulon Progo and analyze the o bstacles in order to find solutions in the library  automation management program carried out. This research is included in  qualitative research. The research subjects are the head of the library and the  librarian of the IKIP PGRI Wates library and students as users, while the object of  the research is the automation management of the IKIP PGRI Wates library. This  research data collection was obtained through documentation, observation, and  interviews. The results of the research will present library automat ion management  which includes planning, funding and budgeting, collection and facility  management, evaluation, and human resource management. Suggestions from  researchers are that librarians must be creative and innovative towards digital  developments and advancements through education and training, so that libraries  are always consistent in the advancement of information and add professional  librarians as stipulated in the Constitution No. 43 of 2007, has set out criteria for  librarian professionalism .
