This is a qualitative study with a psychological approach that is carried out directly to the subject under study, in order to obtain all data relating to the self-management of high achieving teachers so that in self-development they become a model teacher for fellow teachers. Data collection uses interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis techniques include reducing data, presenting, drawing conclusions and verifying. The validity test of the data is done by triangulation technique. The study reveals three important things. First, the performance of RA’s outstanding teachers in Yogyakarta can be seen from their activities in RA, in the classroom during learning taking place, their existence in the RA environment, and outside in social community interaction, i.e., always caring and advising students and carrying out their responsibilities totally. Second, self-development is the key to their success, especially having high self-esteem, having discipline, being open, always learning from experience, having the spirit of learning to seek knowledge about RA, appreciating time, trying to get what they want, respecting self and others, and having a high motivation for achievement. Third, their self-management is shown through the principles to increase it efficiently by being effective in work productivity and functioning it to foster self-character and competency to change to be better and make it as self-habituation in daily routines. In addition, the influence of self-development on their performance provides strength and produces a work ethic called hard work in terms of work smartly and sincerely that can foster positive, productive, and contributive behavior. %Z Promotor: Prof. Dr. H.
