"This study is conducted to determine the performance of\r\nRaudhatul Athfal’s (RA) outstanding teachers, their selfdevelopment\r\nas the key to their success, and their self-management\r\nin Yogyakarta to set an example.\r\nThis is a qualitative study with a psychological approach that is\r\ncarried out directly to the subject under study, in order to obtain all\r\ndata relating to the self-management of high achieving teachers so\r\nthat in self-development they become a model teacher for fellow\r\nteachers. Data collection uses interviews, documentation, and\r\nobservation. Data analysis techniques include reducing data,\r\npresenting, drawing conclusions and verifying. The validity test of\r\nthe data is done by triangulation technique.\r\nThe study reveals three important things. First, the performance\r\nof RA’s outstanding teachers in Yogyakarta can be seen from their\r\nactivities in RA, in the classroom during learning taking place, their\r\nexistence in the RA environment, and outside in social community\r\ninteraction, i.e., always caring and advising students and carrying out\r\ntheir responsibilities totally. Second, self-development is the key to\r\ntheir success, especially having high self-esteem, having discipline,\r\nbeing open, always learning from experience, having the spirit of\r\nlearning to seek knowledge about RA, appreciating time, trying to\r\nget what they want, respecting self and others, and having a high\r\nmotivation for achievement. Third, their self-management is shown\r\nthrough the principles to increase it efficiently by being effective in\r\nwork productivity and functioning it to foster self-character and\r\ncompetency to change to be better and make it as self-habituation in\r\ndaily routines. In addition, the influence of self-development on their\r\nperformance provides strength and produces a work ethic called hard\r\nwork in terms of work smartly and sincerely that can foster positive,\r\nproductive, and contributive behavior."^^ .
