"Despite the inevitable existence of multiculturism of\r\nhuman race, some state-owned schools tend to perform cultural\r\nadaptation in one perspective such as ordering every student –\r\nMuslim and non-Muslim, boys and girls – to wear Muslim\r\ncostume and to participate in any Muslim celebration. On the\r\nother hand, Christian schools do not seem to reinforce their\r\nreligious identity. Those with different religious and cultural\r\nbackground are even welcome and are given the opportunity\r\nthe develop themselves. This empirical fact shows a paradox\r\nand a school political identity effort. The phenomenon\r\nunderlies this study entitled: “The Influence of Multikultural\r\nExposure (X1) Experience and Multikultural Interaction (X2)\r\nto Students’ Cultural Quotient (Y) from Religion, Ethnicity,\r\nand Gender of SMAN 01, SMAN 02, and SMA Xaverius\r\nCurup Rejang Lebong”.\r\nThe study is intended to answer the question: Do\r\nExposure and Interaction experiences individually and\r\nsimultaneously affect male and female, Muslim and non-\r\nMuslim, rejang and non-rejang students of SMAN 01, SMAN\r\n02 and SMA Xaverius Curup Rejang Lebong and what the\r\ndifferences are?\r\nQuantitative-associative is used with observation,\r\nquestionnaire, and documentation data-collecting method.\r\nUsing convenience sampling technique for SMAN 01 and\r\nSMAN 02 as well as population research technique for SMA\r\nXaverius, the writer pick up 168 SMAN 01 students, 161\r\nSMAN 02 students and 49 SMA Xaverius students.\r\nThe results show that 1) Multikultural Exposure and\r\ninteraction experience affect significantly to cultural quotient\r\nMuslim and non-Muslim students (0.270 and 0.399). the\r\ncultural quotient of non-Muslim students is 13% higher than\r\nthat of Muslim ones. 2) Multikultural Exposure and interaction\r\ninfluence significantly to cultural quotient rejang and nonrejang\r\npupils (0.269 and 0.350) with non-rejang’s quotient 8%\r\nhigher than that of rejang’s. 3) Multikultural Exposure and\r\ninteraction experience affect significantly to cultural quotient Despite the inevitable existence of multiculturism of\r\nhuman race, some state-owned schools tend to perform cultural\r\nadaptation in one perspective such as ordering every student –\r\nMuslim and non-Muslim, boys and girls – to wear Muslim\r\ncostume and to participate in any Muslim celebration.
