The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The informants in this study were two pairs with the criteria of married couples of different ethnicities, namely Javanese and Sundanese who had a minimum marriage age of 10 years. This study used a semi-structured interview data collection method and observation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, coding, data categorization, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research from the two pairs of informants showed a picture of the resilience of inter-ethnic marriages that could be seen through 3 things, namely the decision to marry, namely in deciding to marry the two informants did not see the difference in ethnic background, but rather how the person was. Second, life after marriage, in married life the two informants adapt to each other's differences and accept the strengths and weaknesses of their partners, to maintain harmony in the family, both partners have habits that are carried out with their partners, such as taking time to talk with each other. Third, problem solving strategies in the family, the two informants in solving problems have their own strategies, including by applying principles that are always held by partners such as mutual openness, mutual understanding, and mutual trust with partners. To solve every problem is never separated from the three principles of marriage that are held.
