%X Al-Buruj Mosque is located in Jombok Village, Kesamben District, Jombang
Regency. This mosque is one of swapping waqf land practices. The occurrence of this
practice was due to the reason that it was difficult to develop the building and that
there was also a little neighbor land affected in the building of the mosque.
This type of research is field research with a normative approach. While the
data analysis method used is descriptive analytic. In the method of collecting data the
researcher using the method of observation, interview, and documentation.
From the results of the study, it was obtained data that the rolling of waqf land in
Jombok Village, Kesamben Subdistrict, Jombang Regency was caused that the land
was not large enough and difficult if the mosque building would be developed than
the waqf land was moved to a wider area. The researcher considers that the practice
of rolling which has a greater benefit was allowed if there is one of the elements of
necessity and the benefit of all humanity. The term "the rolling of waqf" is the term
used in that location which should not be used in the mention because there is a
practice of buying and selling in it.
