Family education is the basic foundation in shaping the personality of a child. The family as the smallest unit in a society has several functions, namely the function of education, social function, religious function, and recreation function. One of the functions of the family is the function of education, where the head of the family is obliged to provide education to all family members, especially to the child. Parenting communication patterns of early childhood, communication is also defined as the process of delivering messages, ideas, hopes that usually through symbols (symbols) that contain certain meaning , the relationship and communication that the parent gives to the child determines the quality of the child's personality and moral behavior. intimate relationships and two-way communication between children and parents are key to family moral education. the existence of a pattern of good communication and true to children, will cause many positive impact on child development, and if the communication patterns of parents are not fully applied correctly it will have a negative impact on the character of early childhood in Karangjati Sinduadi RT 17 RW 41 District, Mlati, District, Sleman. Based on the results of the study , there are six communication patterns used by parents to early childhood in Karangjati Sinduadi RT 17 RW 41 Kec, Mlati, Kab, Sleman y aitu: 1 communication patterns democratic or open, 2 laissez-faire is a pattern that is not based on the rules, three charismatic communication, namely: the pattern of strong parental authority 4 selfmelting patterns are: parents prioritize harmony and build cooperation with children by joining themselves, 5 pioneers are: parents make suritauladan for their children, 6 authoritarian communication /, this is parent in Karangjati Sinduadi RT 17 RW 41 Kec, Mlati, Kab, Sleman tend to use democratic communication pattern, in educating children. The result of this democratic communication pattern is: active child in hidupya, full initiative, believe in self herself social, full of responsibility answer, accept criticism with open, more emotion stable, easy to adjust self.} }
