abstract: This study aims to describe the religious life of Kubangkondang Village community before the Islamic Education role of Muhammadiyah and how the stages and processes of Muhammadiyah in reforming Islamic Education as well as describing the form of religious social change experienced by the people of Kubangkondang Village after the existence Islamic education Muhammadiyah. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with societal study as intensive study. This research take primary data and secondary data, primary data is direct research result by doing observation and interview, Secondary data come from direct or indirect literature related to subject matter Then reduce the data that have been obtained to facilitate to take conclusion, present data with understand existing problems and analyze meaning and draw conclusions. The result of the research shows, before the existence of Islamic education in the religious social aspect of Kubangkondang society was influenced by the prefabricated Sufistic religious style logic affiliated with a particular tarekat teaching, the community almost entirely work as laborers and peasants with low economic and educational level. Stages and Process of Islamic education refrigeration is done by changing the Al Falah pesantren into a school with the name of MI. Muhammadiyah, followed by the establishment of other schools namely MTs, MA, and ABA Kindergarten. After Islamic education came in Kubangkondang the loss of superstitious, mystical and sufistic rituals, in terms of education and social structure now many people have gone to education level college and switch profession originally just as a farmer, now works as teachers and civil servants.
