Pertamina (Persero) continues to improve its performance, both the employee and company performance. In order to achieve its vision of becoming the world class oil company Pertamina will apply the socalled policy of Good Corporate Governance. Another such attempt is Pertamina is to create a clean and free of the image when it still had time to get a stateowned image crises. To measure the involvement of PR PT. Pertamina (Persero) on the implementation of GCG policy, so the writer has a knife as a methodology in this study which is the most important tools in analyzing a case, namely by using qualitative methods berparadigram critical. To uncover the problems that affect the existence of oil and gas company Pertamina and Indonesia's biggest energy it needs critical thinking based on what kind of critical approach has been developed by schools frankfrut about critical theory. The bad image of SOEs (State Owned Company) helped enliven PT.Pertamina (Persero) that before the year 2003 state-owned. Pertamina, which was then managed by the government as if the fields are very productive and lucrative for the officials to be enjoyed any proceeds from the profits. Not just because a nest of black-only change was fundamental, the other side of that transition is an attempt to Pertamina in the competitive global business in the sphere of oil and gas and energy. This research is an effort towards controlling public relations activities relating to the Company for evaluation and follow-up action as a follow-up evaluation to advancement of the company. Of existing problems, then emerge a question that is how the role of public relations activities to participate in the implementation of GCG policy? Therefore in this research, the author wants to raise these issues to be analyzed as a form of contributing authors as academicians.
