Many of them do not know how important responsibility in learning is. With the advancement of technology, students become negligent with learning and play more often. Due to the lack of responsibility for students, students rarely come to school, do not do schoolwork and even skip school. These are symptoms that students have low responsibility for learning. SMKN 1 Kutalimbaru is a school that has a large number of students and various majors, a very open and free school, this can cause students to be less responsible due to lack of supervision from the teacher. This learning responsibility can be increased with individual guidance. Individual guidance is one way to increase a sense of responsibility in learning and can make students more focused, so that students become more personal and achievers. The purpose of this study to find out about the effect of individual counseling to increase the learning responsibility of students at SMK N 1 Kutalimbaru. This research is a Mix Method research, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Measurements were made with a psychological measuring instrument, namely the learning responsibility scale. Data analysis using descriptive statistics, then used the normality test with the help of the IBM SPSS for windows program. The results obtained are the difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The pretest scores obtained were 67, 71, 72, 73 and 73 then the posttest scores were 101, 107, 109, 105 and 100. Through these results it can be said that individual counseling can be used to increase the learning responsibility of students at SMK N 1 Kutalimbaru.
