The high and low performance of employees is related to the compensation system set by the agency where they work. Giving compensation that is not good will affect the improvement of employee performance. Uncertainty in providing compensation is caused by: (1) giving compensation that is less attractive according to employees (2) giving compensation that is not correct makes employees reluctant to get it. Providing effective compensation is certainly very necessary so that employees are motivated/encouraged to do work with enthusiasm. This study aims to determine (1) whether intrinsic compensation has a positive effect on improving the performance of employees of the Youth and Sports Education Office. (2) Does extrinsic compensation have a positive effect on improving the performance of employees of the Youth and Sports Education Office. The research method used is quantitative research with a sample population of 53 respondents. The sample is determined using the Non-probability Sampling technique, which does not provide the same opportunity (opportunity) for each element or member of the population selected to be the sample. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation documentation and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, simultaneous effect test (F-test) and partial test (t-test). The results showed (1) From the results of testing the research hypothesis there is a positive and partially significant effect between intrinsic compensation on employee performance. This is evidenced by the value on the results of the T test which shows that the value of sig. 0.008 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05. So it can be stated that the hypothesis H1 which states "The Effect of Intrinsic Compensation on Employee Performance" is accepted. (2) From the results of testing the research hypothesis, there is a positive and partially significant effect between Extrinsic Compensation on Employee Performance This is evidenced by the value of the T test results which show that the value of sig. 0.048 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05. So it can be stated that the hypothesis H1 which states "The Effect of Extrinsic Compensation on Employee Performance" is accepted.} }
