In Indonesia, the rate of personal data crimes is increased. In 2020, Indonesia ranked first as a cyberattack destination country. In the same year, 2,3 million personal data of Indonesian citizens were stolen and sold. On the other hand to Singapore, this country is ranked 6th in the world in terms of cybersecurity commitment and readiness. Singapore also has in place comprehensive personal data protection law enforcement regulations. Therefore, this study seeks to show the similarities and differences in law enforcement regulations on personal data in Indonesia and Singapore. This research is library research with descriptive analysis. The approach used in this research is a comparative approach and a juridical-normative approach. The data used in this study is the Personal Data Protection Act (2012) jo. Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2020 applies in Singapore with regulations related to personal data protection in Indonesia. Based on this research, it is concluded that law enforcement regulations related to personal data in Indonesia and Singapore have applied the principles law enforcement. The equation is in the form of acknowledging personal data as a right, forms of personal data crime, efforts to overcome it through litigation and nonlitigation, as well as the duties and authorities of law enforcement agencies. Meanwhile, the differences in personal data law enforcement regulations in Indonesia and Singapore include the types of personal data coverage, the principles of personal data protection, the amount of sanctions and criminal provisions, and the form of law enforcement agencies.
