In Islamic law, polygamy is allowed with limitations and with certain conditions that must be met for everyone who wants polygamy. There is a unique model of polygamy practice that occurs in Bulubrangsi village where this polygamy is carried out by a husband who left his first wife as an Indonesian worker and polygamy here is carried out on the basis of the wishes of the first wife who is willing to become the backbone for her husband and second wife of her husband, so that the husband's problem in terms of living is not a problem in their marriage. This study seeks to answer the main question: Why do wives in Bulubrangrsi Village allow their husbands to practice polygamy, even though they already know clearly that their husbands depend on him (first wife)? The main question is broken down into two questions: Why do the wives in Bulubrangsi Village allow their husbands to practice polygamy? How is the practice of polygamy? This research is a field research, the research method used is observation, interviews, and documentation. This research is analyzed using sadd dzari'ah theory, gender equality and 'urf (tradition). Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques with an inductive mindset. Based on the research, the authors conclude that almost all polygamous wives in Bulubrangsi village allow their husbands to practice polygamy on the grounds that they are afraid that their husbands will fall into things that are forbidden by religion, namely committing adultery, another reason is that wives allow their husbands to commit adultery. polygamy because they are afraid that they will be divorced so that the children and parents of the wife become neglected (no one takes care of them), as well as to strengthen family relations and improve the economy. Most of them practice polygamy in Bulubrangsi Village in a secret manner, where polygamous marriages are carried out without asking permission from the Religious Courts and their marriages are not registered by the Marriage Registrar (PPN) at the Office of Religious Affairs, due to lack of knowledge of the people there. , they only assume that by getting permission from the first wife's wife, the conditions for polygamy have been fulfilled. From such marriages it has implications for women because the marriage is considered to have never occurred in the state, this means that all the consequences are also considered non-existent if a wife takes legal action to court.} }
