Pineapple powder was characterized using a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrophotometer to determine the functional groups contained in pineapple powder. The results of the FTIR characterization of pineapple powder showed the presence of several functional groups, including O-H, C-C, C-H, C=C, C-H, and C-O. Adsorption was carried out using ascorbic acid with variations in the acidity of textile waste at pH 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Optimizing the pH of the remazol red dye solution occurred at pH 3, which could reduce the dye concentration by 87.1%. Forthoreduction was also carried out with time variations of 15, 30, 45, 60, and 75 minutes. Optimization of the reduction in the concentration of remazol red dye occurred in 30 minutes with a percentage decrease in dye concentration of 75.07%.
