abstract: Cases of violent crimes (klitih) cause public unrest because of the rise of klitih cases that still occur, especially in the jurisdiction of Bantul Regency. Therefore, it is necessary to enforce the law against violent crimes (klitih) as a form of effort to describe a series of values to create, maintain and maintain peace in social life or social conditions and efforts to prevent violent crimes (klitih). Based on this, the interesting problem to study is how to implement law enforcement against violent crimes (klitih) and efforts to prevent violent crimes (klitih) carried out by the Bantul District Attorney.
This research is a field research, namely at the Bantul District Attorney's Office, libraries, legislation and related literature from research with an empirical juridical approach, namely an approach that sees something in the legal reality in society. This research is descriptive-analytical, namely research by collecting data and facts, then describing, classifying and analyzing. This study uses the theory of law enforcement, restorative justice, and diversion to analyze the data obtained from the research.
The results of this study explain that first, the Bantul District Attorney as a law enforcement agency in law enforcement against violent crimes (klitih) from a juridical perspective has carried out its duties, rights, authorities and responsibilities in carrying out its role in accordance with the Act and has been directly proportional to the law. law enforcement theory as a study to analyze research data. Then from an empirical perspective, the social conditions of the community show that there is still concern because klitih crimes still occur. Second, the Bantul District Attorney's efforts in terms of preventing violent criminal acts (klitih) are carried out with various programs that have been carried out, namely, Prosecutors for School Admission, Prosecutor Suluh Praja, Prosecutor Greet, Legal Counseling. However, the program has not yet been monitored regarding the effectiveness of the program implemented, especially in the prevention of violent crimes (klitih).
