abstract: Religious Tourism’s capable of being an alternative traveled. Recreations is not only for refreshing the mind by the view of nature, but also for enriching insight even strengthening the belief in the Creator. Not only that, religious tourism can make the heart and feelings became calmer with pilgrimages or prays for the ancestors and Wali Allah. As a province of Indonesia, Central Java and Yogyakarta has many spots of religious tourism. But the publication of the existence of these sites have only limited simple website, brochures, pamphlets and other printed promotional media.
This research develops a mobile application that maps religious tourism object in Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. That application was built for Android platform, using the Eclipse IDE and the Google APIs in development. Searching the user’s position, this application make use of GPS (Global Positioning System) that has been integrated with the handset.
With the features of this application, users will get a tourist location information and routes to the venue. This application has been tested by several respondents such as fungsional and interface testing system. The result of the application testing is 94,54% represent to agrees that the system is as expected, and deserves to be developed
