"This research aims to know; (1) the environment exploration approach with recitation\r\nis more effective than lecturing approach evaluated from students’ learning result; (2) the\r\nenvironment exploration approach with recitation is more effective than lecturing approach\r\nevaluated from the ability of thinking critically; (3) the environment exploration approach\r\nwith recitation is more effective than lecturing approach evaluated from the ability of\r\nthinking creatively; (4) the environment exploration approach with recitation is more\r\neffective than environment exploration approach evaluated from learning result; (5) the\r\nenvironment exploration approach with recitation is more effective than the environment\r\nexploration approach evaluated from the ability of thinking critically; (6) the environment\r\nexploration approach with recitation is more effective than the environment exploration\r\napproach evaluated from the ability of thinking creatively.\r\nThis research is included as a quasi experimental research type. The research design\r\nis Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The population of this research is all students\r\nof class X SMA N 2 Banguntapan. The sample of this research consists of students of class\r\nX2 and X3 as the experimental class and students of class X1 as the control class. The data of\r\nthis research is in the form of pretest-posttest of learning result and thinking ability which is\r\nanalyzed by one way Anava test followed by Scheffe test.\r\nThe result of this research shows that the environment exploration approach with\r\nrecitation is more effective than environment exploration approach, based on the result of\r\nScheffe test with 0,016 significant valued; while the environment exploration approach with\r\nrecitation and approach of lecturing have the same effectiveness with its significant value\r\nreach up to 0,586. On the aspect of thinking critically shows that there is no significant\r\ndifference on the environment exploration approach with recitation, environment exploration\r\napproach and also lecturing approach based on Scheffe test for the environment exploration\r\napproach with recitation and environment exploration approach with 0,951 significant\r\nvalued; while the environment exploration approach with recitation and lecturing with its\r\nsignificant value up to 0,144. On the aspect of thinking creatively shows that lecturing\r\napproach is more effective compared to environment exploration approach with recitation\r\nbased on the result of Scheffe test with 0,000 significant valued; while the environment\r\nexploration approach with recitation and explore environment approach have the same\r\neffectiveness based on the result of Scheffe test with its significant value reach up to 0,060."^^ .
