abstract: The Relationship of the Father's Role (Fathering) Relationship and Social
Adjustment of Young Women in the Yogyakarta Region. This study aims to determine the
relationship between the role of fathers (fathering) and the social adjustment of
adolescent girls in the Yogyakarta area. This study uses a quantitative approach and data
collection methods in the form of a questionnaire / questionnaire. The measuring
instrument used in this study is a psychological scale in the form of a Likert scale. The
research population of young women in the Yogyakarta area according to BPS is 45,147
people. The sample in this study was 362 students, taken using a non-probability
sampling technique of accidental sampling. Data were collected using the father's role
scale and social adjustment scale. he data analysis technique used is the non-parametric
spearmen rho test. The results of the analysis show that "that there is a positive
relationship between the role of fathers and social adjustment in adolescent girls in
Yogyakarta." with a significance level of 0.000. The better the role of the father of the
student, the higher the social adjustment of adolescents, and vice versa, the worse the
role of the father, the lower the social adjustment of online learning today. The selfadjustment
variable gave an effective contribution of 31.7% to the dependent variable in
this study, namely social adjustment.
