The formulation of the problem is how the interpersonal communication style of parents and children in building motivation for children?s further studies. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the interpersonal communication style of parents and children in building motivation for children?s further studies. This research method used qualitative research methods with a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this research are parents and children, while the object of this research is the interpersonal communication style of parents and children in building motivation for further studies. The results of this study is that the assertive style is a communication style that is often used by parents to their children to build motivation for further studies, manifested in the form of attention made by parents to open up discussion space, provide for children?s need, and appreciate everything that children do. While for children, they are fulfilling the need that aim to build motivation for further studies, they often apply an assertive style, manifested in the form of children?s courage to express their opinion, are willing to open up discussion spaces with their parents, and express a desire to increas their motivation.} }
