abstract: The discourse of the 3-term office is an issue that is quite in the spotlight, because this is related to state leaders and the 1945 Constitution. In 2022, the issue of the 3-period office has reappeared and is associated with President Jokowi. A lot of news that appeared when this issue reappeared. Therefore this research was conducted to find out how the framing was carried out by Republika.co.id and Kompas.com in reporting on Jokowi regarding the issue of the 3-term office. The research mhetod used is descriptive qualitative using the Zhongdang Pan & Gerald M. Kosicki analysis model. While collecting data in study using documentation techniques.
The results of this study indicate that the framing carried out by Republika.co.id is more likely to give an indecisive impression of Jokowi‟s statement regarding the 3-period office issue. While framing on Kompas.com has two points of view. From the first point of view, this media gives the impression of Jokowi‟s indecisive stance on the issue of 3 terms of office, while from the second point of view, this media supports Jokowi‟s statement regarding the issue of 3 terms of office.
