N2  - The transition of communication media from conventional mode into new
media has recently increased. One of them is YouTube as a video sharing platform
that brings up many kinds of contents which produced by the creators.
Unfortunately, a lot of contents are not balanced with ethical and moral obligations
that not considered about the benefits to the audiences.
This research is a type of descriptive-qualitative research that examines
about the ethics of communication from YouTube video series content titled as
?Pertama Kali Puasa Dalam Hidup Wasedaboys? from Nihongo Mantappu?s
channel. In this research, the researcher was using the John W. Creswell?s
narattive-analysis technique, that describe the dialogue and scene from the video
which are already collected using documentation technique. Next, the data will be
analyzed and connected into John Stuart Mill?s utilitarianism perspective about
the usefulness of the messages and connected it again form the Islamic ethics of
communication?s perspective from the Qur?an that described it in the six of types :
qaulan ma?ruufa, qaulan kariima, qaulan maisuraa, qaulan baliigha, qaulan
layyina, dan qaulan sadiida.
The results of this research described that in those video already complete
the indicators from the six types of ethics communication in Islamic perspective,
that shown in the dialogue and scene which already structured from the condition
of Waseda Boys when they made the videos. The usefulness are also shown and
felt by then and audience from what are they saying and responses in the comment
section also reviewing in the every ending part of the videos.
