To gain maximum achievement, education plays an important role in the working world. Education in work field is a series of activities that prioritize knowledge and skills in improving the attitude of an employee when carrying out their duties. The higher the employee's education, the higher the competency. Education is the foundation of an employee's abilities since it allows for the proper application of thinking skills gained through experience. However, there are employees who with low educational backgrounds who are also agile. Agility is defined as the ability of employees to respond appropriately and quickly to dynamic and continuous changes and being able to take advantage of these changes to the maximum. With the notion of good level agility is possessed by employees who have a high educational background, the purpose of this research is to explore the description of knowledge and factors regarding agility of employees with low education. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection was carried out using observation and interview methods with three selected informants using purposive sampling. The criteria for informants in this study are employees with low educational backgrounds who worked in hardware store. The results of this study explain that employees need education as a support for work, but motivation also needs to be possessed. The motivation can encourage creative thinking in providing results for work. In addition, motivation can also make employees work faster and help each employee develop themselves. The motivation of hardware store employees encourages them to have agility abilities; such as providing ideas, solutions, innovation, contributing and finding solutions to problems. There are several factors that affect employee agility, namely internal, such as personality, experience, and self-ability. Meanwhile, external factors that can increase agility are environment and social.
