%X Film Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar or Merry Riana: The Million Dollar Dream is a popular movie and tells the story of Merry Riana’s struggle to achieve her first million-dollar dream in Singapore by the May 1998 riots conflict or known as the Tragedy of May 1998. The riots targeted the Chinese Indonesians who became scapegoats for various causes, which major crisis that befell Indonesia. Because of this, many Chinese Indonesian people made an exodus or applied for political asylum abroad, one of which was Singapore. However, the movie only provides English translation subtitles and doesn’t provide Indonesian subtitles, which causes the Deaf people to feel difficult to watch and receive information from the movie in its entirety.  This research aims to determine how much access to information and communication with Deaf people who watch the movie Merry Riana: The Million Dollar Dream. The theory used is the theory of behaviorism or the theory of human attitudes. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. This approach helps the researcher to be able to describe the attitude of ten Deaf audiences who will watch the movie Merry Riana: The Million Dollar Dream accompanied by interviews and documentation.  The results of this study indicate that there is a contra attitude towards the majority of Deaf viewers who admit that they are bored and aren’t having fun watching the movie Merry Riana: The Million Dollar Dream due to the lack of access to full Indonesian subtitles from the beginning to the end of the movie. The perceptions of the Deaf people who watched the movie Merry Riana: The Million Dollar Dream are different, but most admitted that they only rely on the visuals and gestures of the players acting in the movie, so this shows that there is an imbalance in access to information and communication in the movie Merry Riana: The Million Dollar Dream. Several Deaf people expressed opinions consisting of two things, which are Indonesian subtitles and the BISINDO interpreter.
