One of the affected is teenagers who lost their parents. For teenagers, the death of parents causes problems, especially for girls who lost their fathers as they lost a loving, protective, and role model in their lives. Girls need good resilience to be able to survive and rise in such difficult conditions. This study aims to identify the resilience of girls due to the death of their father. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected from interviews and observations. The results of this study explain the girls? resilience in 5 stages covering (1) the initial response after the death of the father such as sadness, disbelief, and slump, (2) the obstacles experienced from psychological, family, economic and educational aspects, (3) optimism by having the confidence to live life well in the future and take positive values from death, (4) the ability to handle emotions, and (5) hope and acceptance of the father's death as well as be a productive person. Factors affecting resilience covered self-esteem, support, and spiritual and positive emotions.
